About Me
One of the funny things about owning a brain is that you have no control over the things it gathers and holds on to – the facts and the stories. Things stick around for years sometimes before you figure out why you’re interested in them. I see things differently than most people. I want to always learn how something got there or how it was made. Curiosity changed the way people thought about the world and thus it changed the world.
I grew up in a small town outside of Harrisburg, PA. I spent my time throughout high school & college educating myself in the Information Sciences field, while also playing soccer. I have both an engineering and business degree which allow me to have a very broad understanding of the IS/IT field and also maintain a high level of successful client relations.
I’ve always been fascinated with cars, bikes, airplanes; you name it. If it can be driven, I want to drive it. From the technology in Formula1 and MotoGP, to the simplistic combustion engine that powers the everyday car, I can’t get enough of it. I pilot a GT3RS amongst other toys.
I'm best known for my presence on the popular media websites YouTube and Instagram. On my YouTube channel (Troy Sowers), I publish content giving viewers access to many cars including: exotic cars, muscle cars, import/tuner, etc. I also post frequent content on Instagram where you can follow along in my automotive, detailing, and personal adventures. As an avid automotive detailer, I enjoy sharing my tips and tricks with the world by providing how-to videos and incorporating detailing into my vlogs on YouTube. Creating those detailing videos really allowed me to dive into my passion of detailing, which then led me to founding Detail Lab. Detail Lab specializes in high end paint correction, ceramic coatings, & detailing.
